Here are the details from heel to toe!

You spend a considerable portion of your day on your feet. You use a multitude of foot care products from lotions and pedicure scrubbers to keep your feet in the best shape possible from a beauty perspective.

While the aesthetics are taken care of, the wellness aspect of your feet requires attention as well. And it can be quite a hindrance if a corn forms on either foot and causes pain with every step.

However, treating a corn can be quite easy and uncomplicated. Before you get into the treatment, let’s dive into what a corn actually is and how you can know whether you have a corn or not.

What Corns Are

Corns form on your feet as a result of the top layer of skin hardening. This usually happens due to ill-fitted shoes or increased friction and is your skin’s response to protect the afflicted area.

The outer layer of the skin hardens into a callous in reaction to external pressure, as a defence mechanism to protect the inner layers. However, the toughening of the outer layer can cause the formation of a hard core within the skin, which is when you have a corn. This hard core can then exert pressure against the softer inner layers of the skin, thus causing pain and discomfort.

You know you have corns on your feet when:

  1. You spot a yellow, bumpy, hardened patch of skin
  2. When that patch of skin becomes sensitive to touch
  3. And you experience pain while wearing shoes or otherwise putting pressure on it

The corn can become quite a hindrance to everyday life, becoming a literal thorn in your foot. However, you can treat the corn and heal your foot with the Hansaplast Corn Plaster, which harnesses Ayurveda to provide you relief from pain.

Hansaplast Corn Plaster: How It Works

Treating corns with plasters can prove tricky, as the retention of plasters in an uneven and active part of the body such as the foot can be quite short. Here’s how the Hansaplast Corn Plaster can provide quick and effective relief from corns though.

  1. Faster Relief
The centre of ring of the Corn Plaster when applied on the corn applies quick pressure and ensures that the corn softens.
  2. Narmalic Amal
The main, active ingredient in the Corn Plaster is Narmalic Amal and this ensures that the removal of the corn is as natural a process as it can be. Present in the ring of the plaster, this ingredient is borrowed from Ayurveda itself.
  3. Long-Lasting Relief
The Corn Plaster gets rid of the corn by gently applying pressure and ensuring that the hard core of the corn softens. As this process continues, the hardened corn starts disappearing and thus stops exerting pressure on the sensitive inner layers of your skin. This leads to long-lasting relief.
  4. Ease of Application
The soft cushioning foam on the Corn Plaster ensures that it shields the corn as it heals and absorbs and distributes the pressure that may be exerted on it during this process.
  5. Better Grip
Your feet are always in motion and ordinary plasters find it hard to hold on to your feet for this very reason. However, the skin-friendly adhesion on the Corn Plaster ensures that it stays put during the healing process.

How To Use The Corn Plaster

There are 3 simple steps to using the Hansaplast Corn Plaster. They are:

  1. Thoroughly clean and dry the affected area. You may need to use a filer to remove dead and dry skin from the corn.
  2. Apply the plaster by placing the centre of the foam ring directly on the corn.
  3. Replace the plaster every 2 days until the corn has completely disappeared.

Please note, you will need to exercise caution while using the Corn Plaster in case of:

  • A diabetes patient or a patient suffering from severe circulatory issues. In this case, do consult a physician before applying the plaster.
  • Children under 16 years of age and pregnant women should seek medical advice before using the plaster.
